Ask Me Anything
Literally anything. I just won't necessarily answer.
I always swore I would never do one of these things, because they seemed terribly self-absorbed. But a few weeks back I had to write a newsletter while poorly and it made me think: It would be great to have a couple of pieces in the drawer for when I am unable to write them in the moment. And so a beautiful idea was born. Yes that’s right. After two years doing this, I have invented the concept of copy on file.
Please send me your questions on any subject under the sun.
This newsletter is basically about politics but goes off on some pretty serious tangents, as you may have noticed. Ideally the questions would follow the same pattern - politics sure, but please feel free to get really fucking weird or esoteric or personal or nerdy. There is no restriction on subject matter.
Each Ask Me Anything newsletter will have a Question of the Week, where I will reward the person who asked the best question with a free premium subscription to Striking 13. What do you get with a premium subscription? Absolutely nothing at all. Fuck all. The prize is totally intangible and non-existent. It does not even come with the warm glow of knowing you are supporting journalism, because no funds have changed hands. It is a prize that transcends physics and morality. What could be more desirable.
To ask a question just leave a comment underneath this article. If you want to ask the question anonymously, email me at ianduntmedia@gmail.com with the subject line AMA.
Cheers all.

having been onstage with you, I found you have a quality of very intense *listening*, which made for a very enjoyable conversation (apart from everything else that made the conversation enjoyable!). I would love to read a piece by you on the skills of interviewing, and being interviewed. What are you listening for, when you're interviewing someone? What have you learned from being interviewed?
It occurs to me as Starmer is forced into more self created U turns than you see on Strictly & Reeves has to break more of her own promises than the Celebrity Traitors, that they are fundamentally good people who are just crap at politics.
Conversely we all know there’s some terrible people out there who are really good at the politics.
So my question…Is it too much to ask for good people who are also good politicians?
